I first started singing at age 5. I was in dance school at the time, and my instructor thought it would be nice if I sang AND danced during my tap solo. (Of course you can get away with that and it be cute at age 5.) Well, she started something for sure. From that day forward, my time was spent more towards singing than dancing.
By the time I was 8, I had landed my first job. I was part of a youthful country group called the "Texas Gold Minors." We started out doing shows all over Texas. We eventually landed a job in Branson, MO right after my fourteenth birthday. All together I worked with them for 13 years. And I can't leave out my time that was spent singing with Mickey Gilley. I worked 5 wonderful years with him and his band singing backgrounds.
I moved to Nashville 8 years ago, and that's where the real fun started. I have tremendous support from my family and friends and without that, this endeavor would be impossible. While in Nashville, I have gotten to work with several talented people from Harlen Howard to Kenny Chesney. I really enjoy playing live, but I also love getting the opportunity to do demo work. It is a huge compliment for someone to ask you to represent their song. In closing, I would like to add that no matter what happens for me in the future, I wouldn't change one day of my past. I have gotten to laugh and sing, and make some of the best friends that I could ever imagine. What happens from here is just icing on the cake!
