ng.

Just A Little Bit
A fun, upbeat song about loving couples of any species . . .
This song was written on a really pretty Sunday, springtime afternoon.
I had been gazing out my bedroom window completely enthralled in watching ‘two love birds’ having a wonderful time playing, flirting, chirping, and singing in the sunshine as they went about their courtship ritual. Those ‘two love birds’ helped me write the song that afternoon.
I’d strum my guitar and sing some lighthearted "couples in love" lyrics, and they’d sing back to me like they were really enjoying the process of co-writing a song about a little bit of love.

The Simple Things
I wrote this song after having such a great evening dancing with a guy that I had just met, but didn’t know how to express the simple things that I was feeling while we were dancing. The lyrics in the song's bridge are a bit ‘left of center’ considering the verses and chorus are so sweet, but I wanted to express how the power of love in its pure state can withstand the distractions of the real world, and that power will see you through… By the way, that guy turned out to be my husband!

Toenail Moon
I was standing on the balcony in the early evening, and was peacefully enjoying looking at a beautiful ‘toenail’ moon on the horizon and just started singing. . .(‘toenail’ is when the moonlight is just a tiny sliver around the edges, like a toenail)

You’re Gonna Be Mine Tonight
What can I say, I was feeling a ‘bit frisky’ when I wrote this tune. It’s a light hearted singles-bar song that speaks for itself.

Don’t Let The Night End
You know the feeling when you first fall in love, and every minute together seems precious . . .?!? That’s the feeing I was trying to capture with this lyric and music. Starting the story of love from a very intimate and sweet piano and voice, and then crescendo to a very big and dramatic intense love ballad, where you just don’t want the night to ever end......

Go Ahead And Go
This was the answer I wish I had used during many arguments in a past relationship. A girlfriend was having a difficult time with her guy, and I remembered that feeling of when being in the same situation and wanting to say something like:  ‘Just go ahead and go, don’t do me any favors’.

Show Me Now
Frustrated with various aspects of my life and career, I wrote this as a
plea to the universe asking for some sort of sign of hope and help with trying to come to terms with being so anxious.  I just wanted to find a sign of some inner peace…

I Had To Think Of You
A great old song came on the radio one afternoon, and it reminded
me of my very best girlfriend from childhood, Pam. The two of us had
a great time growing up, and would laugh so hard at stupid stuff until
we cried. So, this song is really about hearing one of your favorite old
songs on the radio and it reminding you of how much you miss someone, and with using a little ‘poetic license’, I wrote the song from
an old boyfriend's point-of-view.

That’s How Love Feels
My husband, Michael, and I had taken a trip to visit his parents and all of our friends who live in a great little town in Georgia. We were driving around enjoying being in the country, and out of Los Angeles, when Michael started telling me about his childhood, going to the swimming hole in the springtime, the wonderful smell of fresh cut grass, and sitting in a swing on the back-porch with a cold glass of homemade lemonade. I could just feel the joy and giddiness of being in love, especially imagining a young couple in a such a ‘Norman Rockwell’ type small town anywhere USA.

Guilty
A simple, melodic song about feeling restless, and a bit melancholy, while wanting to be ready for love.
